The Lord did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But it was because the Lord loved you and kept the oath he swore to your ancestors that he brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments. But those who hate him he will repay to their face by destruction; he will not be slow to repay to their face those who hate him. Therefore, take care to follow the commands, decrees and laws I give you today.

Deuteronomy 7: 7-11

Everything is completely an illusion. This is all made believe; so, then what does one person gain by all that he does underneath the sun? For one generation is born, and another generation dies, but the earth remains still. The sun emerges, and the sun descends, and hurries to where it came from. The wind blows to the south and goes around to the north around and around the wind goes and on its circuits, the wind.

What has been is what will be and what has been done is what will be done and there’s nothing new in this world. For in much understanding is much sorrow, and the one who gains knowledge increasing misery. To the one who pleases the Holy One has been given wisdom and knowledge and joy, but the ignorant sinner has achieved the business of gathering and collecting only to give to the one who pleases God. All things are an illusion and striving after the wind.

Now a man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha. (This Mary, whose brother Lazarus now lay sick, was the same one who poured perfume on the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair.) So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one you love is sick.”

When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.” Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. So when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days, and then he said to his disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.”

John 11: 1-7

For the day is arriving, the day of the Lord is near. It will be a day of destruction, a time of misery for everyone. A sword shall come upon the earth and misery shall be throughout creation when the dead fall in ignorance and your wealth is carried away, and your foundations are demolished.

Shining Bush, 2025

Those who support evil shall fall and her proud might shall come down. Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I have set fire to all evil and all her helpers are broken. I will put an end to the wealth of evil by the hand of my son, King of Creation. He and his people with him, the most ruthless of nations, shall be brought to destroy this world, and they shall draw their swords against evil and fill the land with the slain. I will scatter the ignorant among the nations and disperse them throughout the countries, then they will know that I am the Lord.

We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies.  Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat.  And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.
